The safety of our people and our assets is more important than anything else we do. It’s not simply a business objective or priority for Dana – it’s one of our values.
We’ve grown significantly in recent years with the acquisition of Ener Petroleum in Norway and Devon Energy’s Egyptian assets in 2007, and Petro-Canada’s UK and Dutch assets in 2010.
Not only did this add production, it meant Dana became an asset operator, which is a core element of our strategy moving forward. As an operator, having the right approach to safety is essential.
We’re currently developing a Group-wide health, safety and environment framework and management system to make sure that the high standards we expect are being applied across our operations.
At the heart of this is putting in place the right processes and technical safety standards while creating a safety culture that encourages the right behaviours throughout our business.
